Dressed Up For Mars - The Brand to Look Out For
I feel like I have been quite 'on the ball' with the amount of blog posts coming your way lately. It is my goal in lockdown to publish at least one post a week - and so far I think I'm doing pretty well (if I do say so myself!) I wanted to talk about a brand I mentioned in my Small Businesses Wishlist post: Dressed Up for Mars. This brand very quickly made it from my wishlist, to my wardrobe and I couldn't be happier about that.
The Riot Grl Organic t-shirt is the perfect, unisex white tee that everyone needs in their collection. It truly puts meaning into the phrase "business at the front, party at the back" with it's eye-catching back print. Like I said, everyone needs a good white t-shirt in their wardrobe, so I wanted to share my three ways of styling the Riot Grl tee to show you just how versatile it can be.
First up is a look that I gravitate to often, with a pair of statement trousers. These Vivienne Westwood pants have been in my collection for around a year now, and I still reach for them often. I feel like patterned bottoms is a great way to make a white t-shirt feel more 'dressed up'. As well as this, I added a knitted Uniqlo black turtleneck underneath; this adds some warmth and just a little bit of something different to the look. Then, just let the t-shirt do all of the talking. The signature DUFM graphic is the perfect way to add a punk edge to your look, so this is definitely the star of the show.
Speaking of the back print, I really wanted to see how this t-shirt could work back to front, as it would be a shame to cover this unique design with a jacket. Throwing a statement blazer over a graphic tee is something I have been loving quite a lot lately, so I knew this look needed to feature within this post. Thankfully, turning the t shirt around really did still work (especially with the blazer over the top), making this look probably my favourite of the bunch. I then threw on my favourite pair of Levis and Le Kilt hat to finish off the look, and there we have my second outfit.
And finally, a vision in vinyl. I really wanted to include my newest Depop find into this post: this PVC biker jacket (brand new with the tags, might I add!) We love a bit of coordination around here, so I teamed this with my vinyl mini skirt and a pair of fishnet tights, along with my chunkiest Dr Martens boots. The Riot Grl tee is the perfect addition to this look, as the length works amazingly over the mini skirt, and it really makes quite a 'bold' outfit very wearable.
There we have my three ways to style to Riot Grl Organic tee from Dressed Up For Mars, please do check them out if you haven't already. Other than the t shirts, all of their items are bespoke and made to order, meaning that waste is kept to a minimum and every piece is lovingly made with you in mind. The rest of the first collection is so varied, and I truly do believe that there is a piece in there for everyone!
